HSE Policy
ABI is committed to health, safety and environmental performance just as we are in
managing and delivering project construction. We aim to enhance our HSE culture within
each operating division, minimizing injuries and occupational illnesses targeting a zero
incident environment. This is achieved through active participation and support of all
management, employees, clients and sub-contractors. In order to achieve this commitment
ABI maintains HSE Management Systems. The system is based on the following principles:
- HSE values will not be compromised. No job is so important or urgent unless the
necessary steps cannot be taken to safely perform the job.
- Everyone has the right and responsibility to intervene if there are any concerns that
safety is being compromised.
ABI principal HSE objectives are:
- To identify and assess HSE risks to ensure that appropriate mitigation control
measures are in place before executing the job.
- Ensure that all personnel working for and on behalf of ABI are made aware of the HSE
policy and their HSE roles and responsibilities as they will be held accountable for the
HSE matters.
- Ensuring that all sub-contractors comply with ABI HSE management system.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives, hazard identification, risk
assessment, pollution prevention and elimination of potential threats.
- To provide our employees with appropriate training and resources to ensure they
have the knowledge and skills to perform their work
- To continuously monitor HSE performance and audit key activities in order to foster
the continuous improvement of our HSE Management Systems.
- ABI adheres to an environmental policy that ensures it complies with all relevant
environmental laws and regulations, takes all practicable steps to prevent pollution
in our activities & conserves resources through the efficient use of energy and materials.
- To reach these objectives and assure implementation of the HSE Management Systems
within all operating divisions ABI management provides adequate human, financial and
technical resources.
